Crumpet

Herman hasn’t shown up for the last 6 nights. His familiar little snuffling-munching sounds can no longer be heard at night, as I sit by the fire. Due to the sudden drop in temperature, he has probably found himself a nice warm compost heap or a hideaway under a shed, and made himself a little den where he will hibernate until the spring. Either that or he’s been eaten by a fox.
